I spent a couple hours today clearing dead ash trees that fell across some lanes. Rather than letting is set down there to float away during the next flood, I decided to cut it all up, and bring up to higher ground along the road. One of my farmer buddies that uses wood daily for his house, will swing by and get it tomorrow. In return, I've secured loads of cow manure, delivered and spread in my gardens this fall.
That pile of manure, reminded me of the story about Pat and Mike, They were fixing the barn roof. Somehow a big gust of wind came up , and blew their ladder down. They looked things over, wondering how they were going to get down.
They decided to jump into the manure pile. Pat went first got himself up and yelled up to Mike, Jump its only up to your ankles. Mike jumped and went neck deep, in the pile. Mike said to Pat , I thought you said it was just up to your ankles. I did, I lit head first.
