Ok everybody leave a little or a lot of space for some pumpkins for the Swamp Great Pumpkin Challenge in your garden. Put'n the dog on, last years run away winner is still enjoying the fruits of his labor (subscription to Trappers Post). So toss some seeds in on the edge of the garden or your compost pile and lets see some Pumpkins. I just might get some in this year too.

I'm I again. I am certainly still enjoying the fruits. Until I had to move them from the front yard at the end of fall. Had to cut them up with an axe just to move them. I didn't get any started early this year unfortunately. A bathroom remodel kept me from stating any seeds this year. Maybe I'll try to get some in the ground tomorrow before the rain all week.

Man a long weekend in the Pumpkin Patch Whooped my butt yesterday. I did clean up and mulch another dozen or so plants to finish a row last eve. Raining now, so everyone gets a good drink. Spray for Powdery Mildew next.

Dang lookin good guys. I'm sad to say that my seeds are just starting to sprout. I got a horrible start this year. No plants started early and no seeds in the ground til 4th of july weekend. I'm ashamed of myself.
The German is like a willow. No matter which way you bend him, he will always take root again.

Storms have been blowing thru every eve for three days, pumpkin plants have taken a slight beaten from the wind. But 2.5 inches of rain have made my life a little easier the last few eves. I have sprayed for powdery mildew and for bugs twice so far.
