As my lone female breeder is starting to look a little pudgy I wanted to get her setup with a different cage to get ready for hopefully kindling. So I turned to youtube (which is horrible as it has added endless possibilities for my little urban farm). I have heard of chicken tractors but had not heard of rabbits being kept in them. And I came a cross a video that intrigued me. So I started on a kindling cage for my future mother.
A lot of people used wire but I wanted something a little firmer for the rabbits to stand on. So I chose to do wooden slats like the original video I watched. I don't know how long these 1x2s will last but they are cheap and are easily replaceable.
The future mom glaring at me as she is not to fond of being handled.
