This is the start of my 4th season raising turkeys for Thanksgiving. I really love having them around and the bring a certain amount of charm, adventure, and stupid to the homestead. 11 poults arrived safely by mail on Friday and are settling in nicely to there new home, they have been joined by three chicks as they were not adjusting as quickly as needed to the whole eating and drinking game, and I didn't have time to sit around and teach them.

Farmer, thank you for the help. It was greatly appreciated. I feel like I can finally breath again now that the turkeys are resting comfortably in the walk in awaiting delivery to there final resting place( ie, the oven of there new "owner". Final portraits were taken. Giant turkey sized cones all clean and ready. Turkey's taking a couple day "rest" so they will be ready for there time in various ovens and fryers Thursday morning.
The following mornings breakfast of turkey hearts, livers, and lots of onions. This years turkey adventure is a wrap. Just need to finish delivering in the next couple days.
