Sweet, true works of ART. I have a copy of canoecraft but that is as far as my dream of building my own cedar strip have gone. An old employer use to restore canvas canoes. I helped out some with a few projects, fun evenings.
Thanks ! Canoecraft is nearly the BIBLE on building cedar strippers. I've really enjoyed building strippers. My first. Started by gathering books, tools, and equipment, a little at a time. And then a lot of help from others that had built them. The building of wood canvas canoes, takes a lot of skill, patience, and materials. They are truly beautiful and a delight to paddle.

Nice work, I was down at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Mus. helping get boats ready for their annual auction tomorrow. In my humble opinion the "Bell of the Ball" is a nice cedar strip canoe. It was probably about 14 feet, little used looking but sweet. She could go for a few hundred or a thousand plus, always depends on the weather and amount of beer sold.
