Well the kids and I finally pulled the pumpkins yesterday. We did better than I thought! Came out with a total of just under two dozen. The ones on the left are really weird light colored ones. These were volunteer pumpkins that came up from some rotten pumpkins I threw in the garden last summer. No idea why they turned out so light and smooth.
I still have my biggest one in the garden, since that vine still looks nice and green. Hopefully I can add another pound or two to it before I have to pull it.

Thanks Farmer! I just cut them this morning. I’ve been checking them daily for bugs and critters eating on them. They’re not huge but I’ll weigh my biggest and let you guys know. Then sit back and watch the kids go to town on carving them.

Had one big pumpkin left that had a booger spot on it that turned into a hole that spewed gnat like bugs, so into the pig pen it went. But had to cut it up first, this is a lot less messy than using a machete.

You guys all beat me this year. Not one giant plant even set a vine this year. I did end up with about 150 jack o lanterns but my biggest probably didn't even break 30 lbs. I sell them for $1 after the wife uses what she wants and friends and family come take what they want. My 4 year old daughter made enough money to buy a ton of barbies and Barbie clothes. (just what I was hoping my daughter would never have an interest in). O well she had fun selling them at her roadside stand. Nice work everybody.
The German is like a willow. No matter which way you bend him, he will always take root again.
