Peaches seem to be one of the hardest things to grow reliably year after year. We bought our house 5 years ago and it came with 4 peach trees that were well established. The first year we did nothing and got nothing, the next year we sprayed both fungicide and insecticide and got some, sprayed a little more the next year and got a few more. Then I sprayed a little less for a few years and got nothing. This years "tactic" was total neglect, no spraying, no thinning of fruit, heck I didn't even prune. Looks like I might have the best peach harvest I have ever had. Sampled a few last night, one was perfect, the rest seem to need a few more days. Peach pie, peach jam, and peach bbq sauce are once again on the menu at my house!
